The Sabre 500RS hybrid turbo is the very first option to take the Focus RS Mk2 to the next level beyond the limitations of the standard factory turbo. Where the original turbo is limited to 400-430bhp with a drop off in torque at higher revs, the 500RS has been designed to pull relentlessly to 7500rpm. The result is a very wide torque curve with no loss of response when compared to the original unit giving exceptional drivability.Each turbo is fully rebuilt to Sabre specification featuring the following upgrades: Sabre 500RS turbo – New core with 360 thrust bearing stagger gap seals – New modified turbine wheel shaft – New custom billet compressor wheel – New custom actuator – Machining balancingNo further upgrades are required beyond the typical Stage 3 level other than associated ECU tuning and an uprated fuel pump to see up to 450bhp on factory engine.
