The Sabre 500RS hybrid turbo is based on the RS turbo and can catapult the ST MK2 to exceptional levels. This is not an ST hybrid turbo so it does require an RS turbo for the upgrade. The 500RS has been designed to pull relentlessly to 7300rpm. The result is a very wide torque curve with minimal loss of response when compared to the original ST turbo giving exceptional drivability.Each turbo is fully rebuilt to Sabre specification featuring the following upgrades: Sabre 500RS turbo – New core with 360 thrust bearing stagger gap seals – New modified turbine wheel shaft – New custom billet compressor wheel – New custom actuator – Machining balancingNo further upgrades are required beyond the typical Stage 3 level other than associated ECU tuning and an uprated fuel pump to see up to 420bhp on factory engine (requires a block mod). For optimal performance up to 500bhp we would recommend a forged engine with uprated camshafts and/or water meth injection.Purchase information Each turbo is supplied on exchange basis (a surcharge will apply which is then refunded when the exchange unit is received).
