The Focus RS MK1 offers exceptional performance potential and power with a chassis to match. The turbocharged two litre engine features forged Mahle pistons from factory allowing power up to 400 without upgrading engine internals. The standard Garrett 2560 turbo is equally well specified giving potential far beyond the original output of 212bhp.This is where Sabre Stage 2 fully optimises the standard turbo with power up to 330bhp & 370lbs/ft. Exceptional hard hitting performance transforms the RS MK1 into a fast road weapon where power is instant and strong. There are no negatives, it is the RS MK1 that could have been released back in the day, but understandably too far ahead of it’s time. This is by far the most reliable option available and perfectly suits the Sabre Stage 2 mapping. Of course options to tune with existing actuators like the Forge (Yellow or Blue spring), but these must be set correctly to base actuator pressure to work correctly. If in doubt contact Sabre or simply upgrade to the Sabre actuator.For the rest of the hardware a free flowing tubular manifold and turbo back exhaust with sports catalyst is advised. The standard airbox is restrictive so changing to an open cone filter is also advised. A high octane fuel is required for the RS MK1 at all times.Purchase information Sabre ECU software upgrades have been developed under many conditions and cars. This process allows us to assess the tuning long term according to specification and variations, not just from a single vehicle.Optimal performance and drivability will be achieved where typical hardware, conditions and fuel octane are used.
